Douglas H. Flint

An experienced lawyer and businessman, Doug Flint has practiced law in Cherokee County, Georgia, and north metro Atlanta for the entirety of his career. He is also owner and CEO of a commercial real estate company with holdings throughout north Georgia, and is experienced in most aspects of real estate, construction, development, and rehabilitation of commercial and historic properties and the legal issues affecting businesses in those fields.

Doug assists clients, both individuals and businesses, in a range of legal matters affecting business and real estate in litigation as well as out of court. He has aggressively represented numerous clients in condemnation cases — always representing the landowner — to protect their rights and recover the maximum possible under the law when government and big corporations use eminent domain to try to take land away. He has won countless condemnation dismissals and recovered many, many millions for his clients. Doug also represents hundreds of business owners in all manner of issues affecting their business — both in court and out of court — and in his legal career, he has handled thousands of cases involving land use and contract and title matters.

Attorney Doug Flint grew up in Canton, Georgia. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Georgia, the United States Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Doug is also very active in the Cherokee County community, having served on numerous non-profit boards and donating his time and efforts to several worthy causes.

Doug speaks French and Spanish and assists many international clients with business matters inside and outside the United States.

John F. Connolly

A partner with the law firm since 1997, John Connolly has over twenty-five years of practice experience. He enjoys an excellent reputation as a trial and appellate lawyer, representing clients in business and general civil litigation, personal injury, and white collar and major criminal cases. John has been acknowledged by his peers and rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell¹, the leading attorney rating service.

Attorney John Connolly is licensed to practice law in Georgia state and federal courts.


John has participated in hundreds of arbitrations, mediations, bench trials, and jury trials in his career. He has conducted over 75 civil and criminal jury trials in Georgia state and federal courts, and has handled numerous appeals.

He has been involved in numerous construction, condemnation, foreclosure confirmation, corporate dissolution, copyright, and other business lawsuits throughout the state of Georgia.

John has also successfully litigated hundreds of workers’ compensation, social security, and personal injury law cases, including car accident, slip and fall, premise liability, products liability, wrongful death, and medical malpractice cases. He also has a wide range of criminal defense experience, which includes dozens of jury trials.

David L. Walker

Business and Litigation Attorney

David Walker is a partner with Flint, Connolly & Walker, LLP. He focuses his legal practice to collaborate with business owners, mid-sized and closely held corporations, as well as real estate owners, developers, and contractors. Mr. Walker has achieved an “AV Preeminent” rating by Martindale-Hubbell1, the leading attorney rating service.

David has a depth of knowledge in the areas of construction law, contracts, probate law and estate administration, and various matters related to the business operations of employers and business owners. He is a trusted advisor to numerous business clients who consult with him regarding various legal issues that arise in the day-to-day operation of companies ranging from small businesses to interstate enterprises.

An experienced litigator, Attorney David Walker has led his litigation team to win numerous jury trials throughout the State of Georgia. He teams with clients to develop and implement effective strategies for confronting the challenges and opportunities that they encounter in the litigation arena. In each case David tailors his approach to meet the unique needs and resources of his individual clients to obtain an optimal outcome for their dispute.

David is a native of Cherokee County, Georgia, and he graduated Magna cum Laude from the Georgia State University College of Law where he was the Symposium Editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. Prior to attending law school, David graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia.

David is an active member of his community in Canton, Georgia, and in 2009 he was named to the list of “20 Rising Stars Under 40” by Cherokee Life Magazine. He attends the Canton First United Methodist Church and resides in northern Cherokee County with his wife and three children.

John Meier has been assisting clients with their estate planning, long term care planning, elder law, trust administration, and probate needs since June of 1985. John grew up in Albany, Georgia where he spent most of his early years working on the family farm. After graduating from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the University of Georgia where he received degrees in Agronomy and Agricultural Economics, John was employed by the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences as an Economic Research Assistant. While working with families and businesses across the State, John observed the devastating effect that failing to make appropriate plans can have. In 1982, John enrolled in Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law and received his Juris Doctor Degree in 1985. John returned to Albany, Georgia and began his legal career, ultimately focusing his practice on comprehensive estate planning, wills and trusts, and probate and trust administration.

After ten years of private practice, John joined Security Bank and Trust in Albany (now Synovus Bank) as a Vice President and became a Trust Officer for Synovus Trust Company. While with Synovus, John continued to concentrate his efforts to assist individuals and their families with their estate planning and their probate and trust administration needs. During this time, John became a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, a nationally recognized certification, distinguishing him among his peers.

John moved with his family to Cherokee County, Georgia in 2006 and returned to private law practice where he was a partner in the law firm of Thompson, Meier & King, PC. During this time, John also served as an Associate Magistrate Judge for Cherokee County. In 2020, John joined Flint, Connolly & Walker, LLP.

John heads up the firm’s Estate Planning and Probate divisions and continues to focus his efforts assisting individuals and families with their estate planning, long term care, elder law, probate, and trust administration needs. John has been named to Georgia’s Legal Elite and Atlanta Magazine’s Top Wealth Managers, and currently serves as the City Attorney for Waleska, Georgia.

When not working, John enjoys spending time with his wife Lacy, their children, grandchildren, and pets. John enjoys fly fishing and competitive tournament bass fishing and in 2017, ranked 7th in Georgia BASS Nation State Classic Pro Division, and was on the 2018 team representing Georgia in the BASS Nation Eastern United States regional tournament. In his remaining spare time, John has been involved in numerous local, state and national charities including Rotary, Easter Seals, and Habitat for Humanity.

Michael P. Bain

Litigation Attorney

Michael Bain represents clients in commercial and real estate disputes, including those involving condemnation, business issues, insurance coverage and bad faith, and banking and lender issues. He is licensed to practice law in all of the State and Federal Courts of Georgia. Michael has handled matters across the state, from Valdosta to Blue Ridge. He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Michael’s sound judgment and expertise has resulted in countless favorable results for his clients such as:

  • Successfully resolving a bad faith denial of insurance claim by forcing coverage for construction client in Cherokee County, Georgia.
  • Successfully resolving litigation in Forsyth County over non-compete agreements which resulted in client’s ability to continue working for his new company.
  • Securing summary judgment for defendant in Cobb County case seeking $140,000.00 on note and guaranty.
  • Successfully assisting client to avoid liability on guaranty of over $3,000,000 in bank debt in Federal Court in the Northern District of Georgia.
  • Successfully securing dismissal of wrongful death case against clients in Fulton County and Henry County.
  • Defending and representing clients in condemnation matters throughout Georgia, including Clarke, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Henry, and Lowndes Counties.
  • Obtaining millions of dollars in recoveries for numerous individuals and businesses whose property rights were taken by eminent domain.

Michael lives in North Fulton County with his wife and three children, and is active in his community.

Andrew T. Smith

Real Estate Attorney

Andrew Smith is an associate attorney with Flint, Connolly & Walker, LLP. His practice is focused primarily on transactional issues with regard to commercial/residential real estate and business law.

Andrew counsels business clients regarding legal issues pertinent to operations, in addition to advising on business development strategies. Furthermore, he integrates his knowledge and experience with federal government procurement channels to assist qualified clients in obtaining government contracts. He has also spoken on various topics regarding real estate law at continuing education seminars sponsored by the Georgia Board of Realtors and is a knowledgeable real estate closing attorney.

Andrew was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia to Church of God missionary parents from Savannah, Georgia. Aside from Jakarta, he has spent time in Singapore, Australia, and the United States in Georgia (Savannah, Macon, and Atlanta) and Tennessee (Cleveland). Fluent in Indonesian, Andrew assists clients — both domestic and international — with business matters outside the United States. Andrew is also conversant in French.

Anthony Cammarata Jr.

Anthony Cammarata is an associate attorney with Flint, Connolly & Walker, LLP currently assisting clients in various corporate, civil, and transactional matters. He has previous experience in the areas of criminal and corporate law and has worked in the corporate counsel department of one of America’s largest private companies.

Anthony graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. During his time at Georgia Law, he participated in the Business Law and Ethics Program and was on the editorial board of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. Prior to attending Georgia Law, Anthony graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice. During his undergraduate years at UGA, Anthony served in the leadership of the UGA College Republicans and participated in and consulted on numerous sheriff, superior court judge, state house, and gubernatorial campaigns.

Anthony is proud to call Cherokee County home. He grew up with his parents and two younger sisters in Canton, Georgia and graduated from Cherokee High School.

Lawrence O. Anderson

Corporate Attorney

Mr. Flint represents domestic and international clients on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital transactions, financing and lending arrangements, and debt and equity offerings. In addition to his transactional work, Nick routinely serves as a general business and legal advisor to his clients, counseling on matters such as corporate governance, executive compensation, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts.

Prior to joining FCW, Mr. Flint practiced corporate and transactional law at the Atlanta-based law firm Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. He received a Business Administration degree, with highest honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2017. During law school, Nick served as an Editor for the Georgia Law Review, competed and coached for the Georgia Law Moot Court Team, volunteered his legal services to local businesses through the UGA Business Law Clinic, and completed a corporate counsel externship with The Home Depot.

Mr. Flint is involved with numerous community and business organizations in the Metro Atlanta area, including the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Nick is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, snow skiing, and spending time outdoors. Nick lives in Marietta with his wife Maddy.

Logan C. Stone

Originally from Missouri, Logan Stone considers himself a Georgian. He attended college on the world’s largest campus found at Berry College. While there, Logan served as a captain on the inaugural football team while majoring in Political Science and minoring in Psychology.

After graduating from Berry College, Logan attended Georgia State University College of Law where he completed the Environmental and Land Use Law certificate program, served as the President of the Environmental Law Society and an Urban Fellow. Logan also served as a student attorney for the Health Law Partnership (HeLP) Legal Clinic where he represented clients and fought to safeguard the health of low-income children and their families. He also competed in Moot Court and won a “Best Oralist” award as a competitor at the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, the nation’s premier environmental law moot court competition.

Throughout law school, Logan also gained experience at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Atlanta Regional Commission, and two small real estate law firms.

When he is not in the office or meeting with clients, Logan loves spending time with family and friends, enjoying the majesty of the outdoors, staying active, and rooting on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs, Auburn Tigers, and New York Yankees.

Lawrence O. Anderson

Lindsey C. Franklin is an associate attorney with Flint, Connolly & Walker, LLP, and currently represents an array of clients in a variety of civil litigation matters.

After earning her undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate from Kennesaw State University, Lindsey graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law. During her time at Georgia Law, she served as the Vice-President of the Student Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and gained trial experience by prosecuting various misdemeanors and felonies as a third-year prosecutorial intern in the Floyd County, Georgia District Attorney’s office.

When Lindsey is not assisting clients, she enjoys being active outdoors with her dog, gardening, and working on her family’s farm. Lindsey lives in Cartersville with her husband Cody.

Lawrence O. Anderson

Larry Anderson grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from Marquette University Law School in 1970. After active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, Larry joined the City Attorney’s office in Milwaukee in 1976. In 1977, he became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Wisconsin where he was assigned both criminal and civil litigation. In 1986, he transferred to the Northern District of Georgia (Atlanta) where he handled narcotics and international money laundering conspiracy cases. Larry stayed active in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve until he retired in 1999 as a Colonel. He began practicing as a Cherokee County, Georgia lawyer when he joined the firm in March, 2001. Larry’s hobbies include riding British motorcycles and scuba diving.
